I know Oblivion's spell crafting had a fairly simple system where you could select the target (projectile, touch, or self), duration, magnitude, and radius, all separately, and see the magicka cost updated in real time, but is something similar not possible to do in Skyrim? I was disappointed to find that there's no radius slider for any effects.

Combined invisibility with detect life, and the duration of invisibility was affected by my Alteration perks, but not the duration of the detect life effect, so the latter would run out long before the former.

I tried to combine detect dead and detect life into one spell, and everyone just showed up as orange, whether alive, dead, hostile, or friendly. Sometimes it behaves like a concentration spell but lobs a stream of projectiles instead of 'a gout of fire'. Sometimes a spell I thought was supposed to launch a projectile behaves like a quickshot concentration spell. Every time I make a destruction spell, I seem to get a different result.
